Session Fee

Individual Therapy (Adults & Children): $165 per 50-minute session
Payment is collected at the time of service by credit card, HSA/FSA card, or cash. You will have the option to store a credit/debit card in a bank-safe electronic health record for ease of billing.

If cost is a barrier to starting therapy or continuing therapy, we can discuss this in our consultation call.

Reduced fees are available for therapy students and interns.

Why I Operate as a Private-Pay Practice

I’ve chosen a cash-pay model so therapy can stay centered on your needs, not an insurance company’s requirements.
Here’s what that means for you:

  • True Privacy & Confidentiality
Insurance companies require a mental-health diagnosis and often request treatment details.
Private pay keeps your personal information between you and me.

  • Freedom to Choose Your Path

Together we decide how often to meet and what approaches to use, without limitations set by an insurance plan.

  • Flexible Goals & Length of Care
Sessions are tailored to your pace—whether you need brief support or longer-term work for anxiety.

  • Specialized, Evidence-Based Care
My focus is anxiety treatment for adults and children, and I integrate psychodrama and other experiential methods to fit your goals.

Why Therapy Costs What It Does

I understand that $165 per session is a significant investment.
Here’s what your fee supports:

  • A Woman-Owned Local Practice
As a small, independent business, your payment goes directly toward sustaining a caring, community-based service—not a large corporation.

  • Specialized Training & Certification
I am specially trained and certified in psychodrama, a powerful, research-supported method for healing anxiety and related concerns.

  • Ongoing Professional Development
I invest in continuing education and advanced trainings every year to provide the most effective, evidence-based care.

  • Personalized Attention
Unlike high-volume clinics, I maintain a limited caseload so each client receives focused, individualized care.

Using Out-of-Network Benefits

If you have a PPO insurance plan, you may qualify for partial reimbursement of your sessions.
I provide a detailed receipt (“superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Investing in Your Well-Being

Therapy is both a financial and personal investment—but one that can bring lasting relief and growth.
Choosing a private-pay practice allows us to create a safe, flexible, and deeply personalized experience that puts your healing first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Yes. Many Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) allow you to use your card to pay for therapy sessions.
Please check with your plan for specific guidelines.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not bill insurance directly.
However, if you have a PPO plan, you may be able to use your out-of-network benefits for partial reimbursement.
I provide a detailed receipt (called a superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company.

How do out-of-network benefits work?

After each session, you pay my full fee and receive a superbill.
You then submit this document to your insurance company, which may reimburse a portion of the cost depending on your plan’s coverage.

How many sessions will I need?

Every person’s journey is different.
Some clients find relief after just a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support.
We will collaborate to create a plan that fits your goals, schedule, and budget.

Why is private therapy more expensive than using insurance?

Operating as a small, woman-owned local practice means your fee directly supports individualized care rather than a large corporate network.
It also allows me to maintain specialized training in psychodrama, keep a limited caseload for focused attention, and invest in ongoing continuing education so you receive the most effective, evidence-based care.
